What do you love to do with your children? How old are they? And what is your greatest wish for them?
My son, Uzi is 5 years old and my daughter, Wallis is 15 months. I love taking them to the beach- no electronics, just good old fashion sand, water, and wind. My greatest wish is that they are self-confident and they find careers that are gratifying to them.
When and where are you the happiest?
I am happiest at home when my career and my family are in balance.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
When my husband was younger he would travel to his grandmother’s apartment in Ville Franche. If I could, I would take my family there for the month of August.
What quality do you most admire in a mother? And what woman has had the biggest impression on you?
I most admire mothers that are in the moment, not rushing off to the next moment. My mom is the woman that has made the best impression on me. She told me you can “have it all,” but not all at the same time.
What is your favorite book? Movie?
My favorite book is Wabi-Sabi for Artists, Designers, Poets & Philosophers. It taught me that it is the process that is beautiful. My favorite movie is The Royal Tenenbaums. We named our son after a West Anderson character and I appreciate how odd they all are.
What personal achievement are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my job. I left the fashion industry to raise my children but I knew I needed something creative as well. I started a small maternity collection from home. At times, it is not easy to manage everything but I am happy to have something that is my own.
What do you feel is your strongest talent?
I think my strongest talent is, I can create something beautiful.
What do you like to do for fun?
For fun, I love to sew. I especially love it when my son draws a picture of a custom he wants me to sew for him. We make it together.
What is your favorite time of the day and why?
My favorite day and time is Friday mornings. My husband goes to work late and we all have breakfast together. I love coffee, probably too much.
Where is your favorite place to go out in Greenwich? And what do you like to drink?
I rarely go out in Greenwich because I live in Westport but when I do travel to Greenwich I like Versailles Patisserie. They have the best croissants. Our favorite restaurant in Westport is the Whelk. They make wonderful cocktails but I prefer the classic Gimlet.
