One of the best ways to experience Tengda is to go with a group and sample the appetizers. Rather than settling on one dinner dish, this allows you to have a tasting feast by sharing with your friends. The appetizers at Tengda are amazing, with surprising contrasts of tastes and textures!
Party with Moms favorites:
Tuna Tower – like a tiny building, four layers of fresh raw tuna are presented between four wonton crisps with a topping of roasted pine nuts and cilantro. If you like sushi you will love this!
Curry Rock Shrimp – a very generous portion of shrimp, crispy on the outside and soft inside, covered with a glaze of curry, shredded daikon and lime. Delicious! You might need two orders of these.
Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps – the diced chicken mixed with chopped long beans, bell peppers, crunchy jicama and spicy bean paste is a nice contrast with the cool lettuce leaves wraps.
Charred Ginger Braised Short Ribs – tender and mouth-watering, served on a bed of pureed parsnips and sweet kumquats.
All go nicely with an ice cold Kirin Ichiban, or chilled white wine.
Oh, and if you have children with you… the go-to dinner is white meat sesame chicken served with brown rice and broccoli in a honey sesame sauce. They will devour it. One portion is more than enough for two children.
Enjoy Tengda! Happy Hour is 4:30 – 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday!
