If you don’t know this place, located on Hamilton Ave in Chickahominy, you should. The food is really good. On the left side of the building, Mike and Frank Greco create unique and delicious pizzas. Our latest favorite is the pulled chicken pizza – the barbecue taste has just the right amount of smokiness – but all the different varieties are amazing. The buffalo chicken pizza is awesome too!
On the right side, the brothers and their mom create Italian gourmet specialties. Maria’s stuffed peppers are excellent. Other Party with Moms favorites include chicken cacciatore, chicken scarpariello, and eggplant rollatini. We could eat their shrimp and corn chowder everyday. And they make wonderful salads – with grilled chicken or without. Try their David salad– it’s a meal in itself.
At lunchtime, great paninis and wedges are a popular alternative to pizza. The bread comes daily from Arthur Avenue in the Bronx and the cold cuts are always fresh and delicious. Mike makes fresh mozzarella right at the counter; tomatoes and basil are grown in the warm summer sun of their back garden.
Bella Cucina also does catering, delivering hot food right to your door, whether you are having a large party or just a family dinner. If you choose, you can eat in the small but cozy Bella Cucina restaurant, or at the outdoor tables. Feel free to bring your own beer or wine.
