Dinner at Boxcar Cantina is always fun. Even on a Tuesday night, there is a lively crowd, both in the dining room and the bar. The wait staff is unfailingly friendly and attentive. You can’t beat their Super Chief Margaritas – they are delicious.
Sharing a plate of Boxcar nachos is a great way to start. Fresh from the oven, the chips drip melted cheese, olives, tomatoes, and scallions, sour cream and salsa. Perfect comfort food on a rainy night, the nachos were a nice change from our usual starter of guacamole, salsa and chips.
From the menu of delicious dinner items, we chose a wonderful Mexican salad (always fresh and satisfying with tender grilled chicken), the organic chicken enchiladas with Jack Cheddar, scallions and cilantro, and the special red snapper tacos, which were served with an avocado sauce, beet slaw and accompanied by a mini organic kale and feta salad.
Boxcar’s farm-to-table cuisine is healthy and delectable. Stop in any night and enjoy your dinner.
