Partying with Moms @ Eastend

Partying with Moms @ Eastend

Eastend had its soft opening last week. We went there with a few Moms of the Week naturally, Kyle Healy and Bryanne Crabb to bid Bryanne good luck in her move back to Australia. The place was filled to capacity. Suzanne and Ramze Zakka, owners of Z Hospitality Group, were there to welcome friends and family to their new, American-themed restaurant at 409 Greenwich Avenue.

The bar is beautiful. Separating it from the dining room, a shelf of liquor bottles lit from below casts a colorful and warm glow, making us wish for one of each of the great cocktails on the menu. The Eastend wine list features American vintages, but also offers a variety of “Wines from Everywhere Else.”

The menu is varied and takes advantage of the freshest and most seasonal foods available. Our group’s appetizers all of which were excellent included Copp’s Island oysters with chili sauce and cucumber/chili ceviche, PEI mussels in shallots and salsa verde, and Lamb & herb meatballs, tomato sauce, ricotta cheese.

For dinner, grilled bronzino filets with smoked chorizo potatoes and parsley-lemon sauce, and stout braised short ribs with braised mustard greens were favorites for our table. We just scratched the surface of the menu items. The carrot cake dessert was a big hit!

Delicous food, wonderful, attentive service and an excited buzz in the air made us feel Eastend was the place to be on Friday night. We look forward to partying there often, with moms, of course.
