Our Contributors’ Week 17 Picks + Reasons Below… player taken is in bold*
Remy’s Pick – Tanihara/Matsuyama
Seems like a great week to take Tanihara and still save Matsuyama for a later week! The Japanese duo should light this course up. Tanihara is an unbelievable putter and Matsuyama’s ball striking is excellent. Predicting a winning score of -22 under by these two!
Marianne’s Pick – Grace/Oosthuizen
Fellow Aussies should play well together.
Carlos’ Pick – Cauley/Thomas
Bud’s playing well as of late, and Justin, of course, can bomb it. Plus they’re playing with Jordan and Ryan Palmer the first two days, so there’ll be good vibes all around.
Craig’s Pick – Lovemark/Donald
Donald has been close lately and Lovemark is due. He was in a playoff here last year.
Frank’s Pick – Pieters/Berger
Peters played very well in the best ball/alternate shot format in the Ryder Cup.
Chris’ Pick – Donaldson/Hatton
European players are all really tight so expecting some good chemistry between those two.
Jamie’s Pick – Lovemark/Donald
A good long and short game combo between the two is always a recipe for success.
Danny’s Pick – Donald/Lovemark
Donald is going to make New Orleans Great Again after a fantastic showing at another Pete Dye design in Harbour Town.
Zach’s Pick – Holmes/Watson
Because Bubba can’t do it alone lately…
Pete’s Pick – Cauley/Thomas
They’re good buddies will feed off each other!
Eric’s Pick – Pieters/Berger
Remy rushed me into a decision…Basically I panicked and picked the first team I found without someone I’ve already used.
Jeb’s Pick – Palmer/Spieth
Remy’s recommendations never fail!
