Meet Natasha! Our First Mom of the Week!

What do you love to do with your children? How old are they? And what is your greatest wish for them?

I love to hang out with my children, play games, jump on the trampoline, go to the beach and just listen to their stories and have fun conversations. I am intrigued by their extensive vocabulary. They are 7 and 8, and I wonder… how do they know that word?! I think every parent wants their children to have it better than they did but my greatest wish for them is that they become successful and live a happy and fruitful life.

When and where are you the happiest?

If I can pick specific points in my life when I was the happiest it would definitely be June 24, 2004 and March 2, 2006, Marijan and Milania’s birthdays. I am the happiest when I see them smile.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Well, aside from a vacation in a warm area, being a nurse I would love to go on a medical mission. And if I ever had the chance I wouldn’t mind taking a trip up to space one day!

What quality do you most admire in a mother? And what woman has had the biggest influence upon you?

The quality I most admire in a mother is seeing a closeness between a mother and her child. There is nothing like a mother’s love (Dads are cool too but Moms are really really cool) And the very simple answer is that my MOM has made the biggest impression on me. She is so loving, caring, sweet, calm and understanding. I always knew she was and then when I had my own children I really knew how she felt about her own 4 children.

What is your favorite book? Movie?

Whoever knows me, knows that the two things that put me to sleep are books and movies…! I know, its weird. So I will pick a kid movie since I try not to fall asleep to those… it would have to be Gnomeo and Juliet.

What personal achievement are you most proud of?

I would definitely say my career in Nursing. It allowed me to be there for my children when they were small and gave me flexibility in my work schedule. I absolutely love my job now and am proud to tell my children all of the fun things I get to do and see in my current position at Columbia.

What do you feel is your strongest talent?

I am the best multi-tasker!

What do you like to do for fun?

I love to laugh, whether it is with friends and family or seeing a comedy show, I believe laughter is key to enjoying your life.

What is your favorite time of the day and why?

I am a morning person. I have the most energy in the morning. Somewhere between, ohhhh say, 6:45 – 8:15, my brain goes wild with ideas as I’m driving to work planning out my day and setting goals for the kids and me.

Where is your favorite place to go out in Greenwich? And what do you like to drink?

Ok, if you’re asking about dancing… Barcelona it is! And for the best brunch around, Morello on the Ave. Always up for a nice glass of red wine, preferably Tempranillo!
