April 5, 2022 (Greenwich, CT) – The Greenwich Association of REALTORS® announces the statistics for home sales in The Town of Greenwich, CT for the month of March 2022.
There were 53 single-family residential closings reported during this period according to figures provided by The Greenwich Multiple Listing Service, Inc., the multiple listing service used by REALTORS® in the Greenwich area.
The number of single-family residential closings decreased compared to March 2021 when there were 71 closings. The median sale price for a single-family home increased to $2,250,000 from the median sales price in March 2021, which was $2,215,000, a 2 % increase.
The average days on the market (DOM) for residential homes was 152 days; which was a decrease from 173 days in March 2021.
There were 24 condo/co-op residential closings reported during this time period; which is the same from March 2021 when there were 24 closings.
The median sale price for a condo/co-op increased to $772,000 from the median sales price in March 2021, which was $742,500.
The average days on the market (DOM) for condo/co-op residential homes was 94; which was a decrease from 127 days in March 2021.
“March 2022 had fifty-three closings with a median sales price of $2,250,000. Greenwich was the sector in town with the most closings, ending March with thirty-eight sales and a median sales price of $2,870,000; a twenty-four percent increase from the median sales price in March 2021, which was $2,300,000. Condo/Co-Op sales had twenty-four closings in March 2022 with a median sales price of $772,000; a three percent increase from the median sales price in March 2021, which was $742,500. The Dollar Volume for Single Family homes, March 2022 is $159,982,777. The Dollar Volume for Condo/Co-Op homes, March 2022 is $22,619,650,” stated Bryan Tunney, 2022 President of the Greenwich Association of REALTORS®.
