Meet Evangela Brock! Mom of Twins and Realtor @ Douglas Elliman Real Estate

What do you love to do with your children? How old are they? And what is your greatest wish for them?

My kids are now 26 years old (Twins). I love traveling with them, dinners, golf, bowling, and hanging out with them. It has changed a bit since they were kids, the way we spend time together. My greatest wish is for their happiness and that they believe in themselves that they can do whatever they truly desire to do, to be, and to have.

Who has had the biggest influence upon you?

My spiritual teachers, which include Neville Goddard, Wayne Dyer. And of course, my parents.

What quality do you most admire in a mother?

Being a mom has so many different roles at different times in your children’s lives. When they are young, you are 100% caretaker, and need patience; with teenagers you are a guide for them and need resilience, and when they are adults, you are a friend. It’s the LOVE that gets you through all the years and ages.

Besides motherhood, what other careers/opportunities have you enjoyed? And what are your strongest qualities?

I have enjoyed a career in real estate sales for over 24 years. I started real estate when my children were almost 3 years old. It was a career that gave me flexibility. My most vital qualities…good question… Persistence, trust, and my positive mindset.

Currently I have two special properties on the market. An amazing compound in Belle Haven, Stone Harbor. It’s three properties and over 6 acres.

I also have a property on the water, directly on the beach in Westport.

Were you happiest in elementary, middle high school or college? Please explain why.

They were all happy times for different reasons. As you grow into yourself, what you like to do and makes you happy changes.

What do you like to do for fun and what is your idea of a perfect day?

I love traveling and everything and anything to do with the beach and water. My perfect day would be at the beach with my children and dogs – a day filled with love, laughter, and sunshine.

What is one of your favorite books? Movies?

So many books…I love to read. Here are a few of my last reads, Morning Miracle,  Loving Braverly and one that impacted me as a teenager Diary of Anne Frank.  Movies are so much fun, I love most of them, whether it is comedy or drama or thrillers. My top movies would be Forest GumpLife is BeautifulBack to the FutureShrek, and Bad Moms.

What is your favorite type of food and what do you love to cook?

I love all food and love desserts. I have a major sweet tooth. Several teeth… LOL… I often make and am famous for my Greek Spanakopita.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I am long overdue for a trip to Greece. I am half Greek and spent every summer in my youth visiting Greece and the Islands. My bucket list includes Bali, Thailand, Maldives and in the US, I have always wanted to go to Charleston, Nashville, and Seattle.

Where would you love to Party with Moms and what is your drink of choice?

I would love to go wherever Party with Moms chooses… my drink of choice is Aperol Spritz.

In this new experience of coronavirus, with quarantine and social distancing, has there been any positive development for your family?

I had been living in Florida for 3.5 years and I moved back up to Greenwich. I moved to be closer to my children.
