September 28, 2016 3:47 pm Open Invitation to Campaign Event from Dita Bhargava
Written by Dita Bhargava, Candidate for State Reprsentative
As the mother of a daughter, I’m committed to ensuring women and girls in our community are treated with respect and empowered to achieve their dreams. That’s why I co-founded The Parity Partnership–a grassroots nonpartisan organization committed to educating the public about gender equality and policies that promote equal respect and opportunity for men and women. One of the most important tools in the mission for gender parity is supporting educational opportunities for women and girls in careers for which they’re currently under represented. My friend, Reshma, is doing just that!
I’m pleased to invite you to an upcoming fundraiser for my campaign featuring Reshma Saujani as our special guest. Reshma is the founder of an incredible organization called Girls Who Code, founded with a single mission: to close the gender gap in technology. I invite you to join us to support the campaign and hear about the brilliant work Reshma is doing to empower women and girls around the country.
