What do you love to do with your children? How old are they? And what is your greatest wish for them?

My son is 2 1/2 years old so we are still at the start of his journey. I love hanging out with him and watching the way his mind works. My husband and I come from a comedy background so it is so great to see his sense of humor. My greatest wish for him is to be able to move through this world at his best. Wishing him to be happy is difficult because life ebbs and flows. If I can teach him to move through tough times and feel gratitude in the good times I think it will be the best way to benefit him and help nurture a kind human being who has a great sense of self. I think a great sense of self is a person’s best compass.

When and where are you the happiest?

I have a few happy places. Moments in between the pace of life where my son is singing and dancing and feeling such joy- I love those moments, they fill my heart in a place I had no idea existed. I became a Mom at 40 so being able to be surprised with a new joyfulness is awesome. Photographing people is my other happy place. To show a family’s bond and love reflected back to them with a photograph is magical and powerful. Photographing connections between people is amazing and enriches my life.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

To a place that lets you interact with monkeys. This is a dream of mine so if anyone can tell me where that is…I would truly appreciate it. I’ll even bring you back a key chain.

Who has had the biggest influence upon you? And what quality do you most admire in a mother?

I am influenced by so many people. I have a lot of strong women in my family. Their strength lies in their kindness, their fortitude and their ability to keep growing and learning about themselves. I am influenced by women starting something new in life and taking chances. Also Oprah.

What do you like to do for fun?

Anything creative, if it involves glitter I am in for the long haul.

What is one of your favorite books? Movies?

One of my favorite books is The Starbelly Sneeches by Dr. Seuss. I have always loved the message. Too many movies to name…

Besides motherhood, what other careers/opportunities have you enjoyed?

I wrote and performed sketch comedy and loved making comedy videos – everything from writing to costumes to editing thrilled me. It was a blast and I hope to do more in the future. I also do voiceovers for radio and TV. Right now being a photographer allows me to use all of my comedy experience to connect with people and feeds me creatively.

What are your strongest qualities?

When I am committed to something it is full on. I learn quickly and bounce back quickly. I connect with people easily, especially kids. I am kind but not naive and I support others.

What is your favorite type of food and what do you love to cook?

I am just learning to cook. I love risotto so I am working on that. I am a big fan of food and it seems to return the love.

What is your favorite time of the day and why?

My favorite time of day usually depends on what is happening at the moment.

Where is your favorite place to Party with Moms and what’s your favorite drink?

My favorite drink is Champagne – everything is a celebration with Champagne. My favorite place to Party with Moms has yet to be determined – any suggestions?
