What do you love to do with your children? How old are they? And what is your greatest wish for them?
What I love to do most with my girls is explore & seek out new adventures. Whether that means travel, taking a walk outside or going to a children’s museum, seeing the look on their faces when they discover something new is my greatest joy. Harper is 4 & Sydney Grace is 2, so the world is truly amazing to see through their eyes. My greatest wish for them is to live life to the fullest with a positive outlook and kind heart. I want them to work hard for what they have & try to help others whenever they can.

When and where are you the happiest?
I am happiest on lazy Sunday mornings when my husband & I have the kids in bed for snuggles. With coffee of course, coffee is very important!
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
This is a hard one… I want to go so many places! We are a family who loves to travel & are blessed to have seen some amazing places. If I had to pick one place I have not been it would be The Maldives. Staying in a hut by the water, eating fresh fish & exploring the islands would be my idea of heaven!
Who has had the biggest influence upon you? And what quality do you most admire in a mother?
My biggest influences are my parents & my mother-in-law, Betty. I have learned from all of them what it means to be a parent through good times & bad. They all have always shown unconditional love for their children while handling things in different manners. There are so many parenting styles & I find it most helpful to witness or hear them all & then make my own choices based on what’s best for our children. The quality I admire in a mother is unwavering love & admiration for her children – a mother who is her children’s biggest fan but also understands her role in ensuring the right life lessons are being taught & displayed. We learn from what we witness & it is every parent’s responsibility to ensure they are being a positive role model & leading by example.
What do you like to do for fun?
Travel (obviously), decorate, refurbish old things back to life, cook, hang out with friends & have quality time with my family.
What is one of your favorite books? Movies?
I love to read & one of my favorite books is The Kite Runner. I enjoy historical fiction that lets you discover other cultures in a captivating way. My favorite movie would probably be Lone Survivor because I love war movies & have the utmost respect for our military, so watching depictions of what they encounter truly fascinates me.
Besides motherhood, what other careers/opportunities have you enjoyed? What are your strongest qualities?
Before deciding to leave corporate America, I was in the fashion world since I was 18 years old. I started out as an intern for Chanel in NYC. While attending college I worked for a big private retailer and climbed my way up the ladder working for companies such as Chloe & Vince. My strongest qualities are my ability to multi-task & my need to produce top of the line work. I tend to be a perfectionist & feel the work I deliver portrays that. I am a type A with a wildly creative side, which makes for an interesting mix. I am now a stay-at-home mama & busier than ever with my new blog, seedlinginc.com, home projects & non-profit work that I love!
What is your favorite type of food and what do you love to cook?
I grew up with a heavy influence of Italian cooking & culture & it was the first thing I learned how to cook. My father taught me how to make sauce (or gravy as it is traditionally called) when I was about 8 years old & I never stopped experimenting with recipes from there. I definitely have switched gears a bit & cook very healthy, organic food for my family that consists of lots of vegetables, fruit, fish & lean poultry, but will always have the authenticity of homemade Italian food in me.
What is your favorite time of the day and why?
I love mornings. I absolutely adore a good cup of coffee while the house is still quiet and I can think about all the possibilities the day has in store for us. Each day is a new beginning & a chance to be a little better than you were yesterday.
Where is your favorite place to Party with Moms and what’s your favorite drink?
My favorite place to party with my fellow mama friends would be any outdoor venue with a fresh squeezed margarita in hand! We try for girls’ nights when we can & margaritas usually are the beverage of choice!
