What do you love to do with your children? And what is your greatest wish for them?
I love being outside with my kids. It’s exhilarating watching them be so carefree. I think my greatest wish for them is to have inner peace with themselves. For them, at their cores to be happy individuals who find the positive in most situations.
When and where are you the happiest?
I am happiest at home on Sundays just hanging with family and friends in front of the fire or in the summer sitting by my pool in the shade.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I love Italy. I studied abroad there and have traveled there with my husband. I can’t wait for my children to be old enough to do a trip like that. I would also love to go on Safari in Africa, but being that I hate to fly that will probably never happen.
What quality do you most admire in a mother? And what woman has had the biggest impression on you?
The quality I admire most in a mother is patience. Raising children can be exhausting and emotionally trying at times and when I see a mother being patient and calm with her child I am always so impressed. My own mother has had such an impact on my life. She had her own retail business and is such a hard worker. She was able to achieve a great work/home balance that is something I am always striving to do.
What is your favorite book? Movie?
My favorite book is hard because I am an avid reader and I have so many favorites. A recent favorite was “Me Before You” or “Wild” I also love the Diary of Anne Frank. In terms of movies my husband and I love “The Big Lebowski” we know every line.
What personal achievement are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my work as a social worker. Although I have two careers, one as a business owner and one as a therapist, my work as a therapist is the most rewarding personally. I treat women, mostly who are pregnant, post partum or new moms and am always so in awe of them and their stories.
What do you feel is your strongest talent?
Being a good listener is paramount. Whether at home, with patients or with clients, I think having the ability to really listen to what someone is saying is really crucial.
What do you like to do for fun?
To relax: get a massage.
To kick back: dinner with friends.
To veg out: Read on the beach
To let loose: dance (with my kids –we have dance pajama parties)
What is your favorite time of the day and why?
I wish I could say morning but sadly it’s definitely night. I love unwinding with a glass of wine, a good show and definitely a family cuddle.
Where is your favorite place to Party with Moms and what do you like to drink?
To be honest I can Party with my Mom friends anywhere. I love a nice glass of wine (I am not picky) or a bloody mary with brunch. Is it ok for moms to drink at brunch :).
