What do you love to do with your children? How old are they? And what is your greatest wish for them?
My children are 21 and 16. We have fun entertaining together. We love to host BBQs and celebrate occasions with extended family and friends. This past weekend we hosted 30 on Friday evening for BBYO and 120 on Sunday for the GHS Band picnic. Wednesday, I am hosting 84 ladies for the Smith College Club of Greenwich. My greatest wish for my girls is HEALTH AND HAPPINESS.
When and where are you the happiest?
I am happiest at the beach when I feel the sand between my toes and can swim in the water. I also love walking our dog Harley at Babcock Preserve in Greenwich.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I love St. Thomas because it is a non-stop flight and I have been going there for 30 years.
Who has had the biggest influence upon you? And what quality do you most admire in a mother?
My daughters have had the most influence on me because they have made me realize so many possibilities. Without them I would be an entirely different person.
What do you like to do for fun?
Golf, tennis, bridge, yoga.
What is one of your favorite books? Movies?
Sue Monk Kidd’s book The Secret Life of Bees made me cry. I loved it.
What do you feel is one of your strongest qualities?
My personal motto is “carpe diem”. I make the most of every day. I fit a lot into a day.
What is your favorite type of food and what do you love to cook?
I love lobster!!!!! J
What is your favorite time of the day and why?
My favorite time of the day is 5:15am when I have fifteen minutes to myself to enjoy my coffee. Our days start very early because I work out at the Greenwich Water Club while my younger daughter rows on the Sound or on the erg.
Where is your favorite place to Party with Moms and what’s your favorite drink?
My top places to “Party with Moms” are Gabriele’s for the Malbec red wine and JHouse for hot chocolate or a cosmo depending on the time of day. Also, I love to meet moms at my business location where I outfit them every season, at Doncaster.
