What do you love to do with your children? How old are they? And what is your greatest wish for them?

My son is 25.  I love to go to a movie or watch something together on TV and compare notes with him.  I also love to travel with him and show him things.  I love to see what his experience is like.  We don’t do that often enough.  My greatest wish is for him to find a career that he enjoys and feels passionate about, and then find his partner with whom to share the life he creates.

When and where are you the happiest?

I am happiest when my family is enjoying something together, or when I am on a beach with perfect beach weather.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Currently, I’d love to visit Greece, and do it with my husband, not on my own this time.  I did it alone when I was single.

Who has had the biggest influence upon you? And what quality do you most admire in a mother?

I believe my mother has been the biggest influence on me, both by the good qualities she exhibited, and her weaknesses.  I wanted to make sure I didn’t repeat her mistakes.  She was married five times.

I most admire mothers who know when to step up and say something – the right thing – and when to step back to make room for their child to figure things out their way.  It’s difficult to do both of these things right.

What do you like to do for fun?

I like to have marathon chat-fests with my girlfriends.  I like to visit our friends who live on the North Fork of Long Island and in Santa Monica.  I also like visiting Cape May, New Jersey with my husband.  And I love antiquing – but not in upscale places, more down-to-earth places are my favorites.

What is one of your favorite books? Movies?

Books?  Today, with Hilary Clinton’s book signing here in Chappaqua, I’m thinking of “Game Change.”  It was so enlightening for those of us who wondered what happened during her last campaign.  I hope she pulls it all together next time.  I also love “Random Families” for a documentary-style look at life in the Bronx.

Movies… I love The Full Monty, Dances With Wolves, Once, Mad Hot Ballroom, The Unforgiven, Forest Gump, Gone With the Wind, The Patriot, ET… so many!

What do you feel is one of your strongest qualities?

Starting from my childhood, moving around and having to make new friends all of the time, I have no intimidation about meeting new people either personally or in business.  I am truly interested in each new person and what they are about.

What is your favorite type of food and what do you love to cook?

I lean toward cooking Italian food, but in general love cooking soups, stews and other one-dish meals.  Helps out on the days I don’t have it in me to cook at night because those things generally taste even better warmed up.

What is your favorite time of the day and why?

I like mornings, after getting cleaned up and drinking my coffee.  My body and brain are fresh and work feels easier.

Where is your favorite place to Party with Moms and what’s your favorite drink?

I’m happy to party with my mom friends almost anywhere!  It’s the company that matters.  I do love a good Cosmo or a tropical drink!
