What do you love to do with your children? How old are they? And what is your greatest wish for them?

My children (adults) are 32, 28, 22, and 20, and my grandchildren are 4,3, and almost 1. I cherish every moment I get to spend with them, individually and as one big family. I adore both my son in-law and daughter in-law… I’m very lucky!

My favorite time is summer vacation on Nantucket where all of my children and grandchildren have been going since birth. I always tell my sons that my greatest wish for them is to be truly good men, and my greatest wish for my daughters is that they have the blessing of having a fulfilled and full life.

Who has had the biggest influence upon you?

Tamar Lurie, and I mean that! She has amazing perspective on life, love, real estate, and human nature. Having lived all over the world she has experienced more than anyone I know. I have learned a tremendous amount from her about everything! I am grateful to work with her, and have access to her wisdom on a daily basis.

What quality do you most admire in a mother?

Unconditional love, patience, and acceptance that no child is perfect.

Besides motherhood, what other careers/opportunities have you enjoyed? What do you like about your current job?

I started out in the fashion business. First at L’Officiel Magazine, then doing trend forecasting for the shoe industry, and finally PR for designers and retail stores. I loved every minute of it, and miss that creative energy. Most of my career has been in residential real estate (35 years this July!) first in New York City, and in Greenwich for 24 years. I think of my job as providing a service to my clients, not just selling houses. I like to think that they value my opinion as I help them through every step of buying or selling their home.

I recently got my Massachusetts License, so I can help clients with rentals and sales on Nantucket. I’ve been visiting the Island for most of my life, and know it like the back of my hand! I want to make a difference in helping people from the NYC metropolitan area find properties there because I understand their expectations.

What are your strongest qualities?

I am fair, reasonable, tenacious, loyal to a fault, and always try to be grateful for what I have. I look at life and deals and think what could possibly go wrong? And then make it right before it actually does go wrong…

Were you happiest in elementary, middle high school or college? Please explain why.

Easiest question of all. I LOVED my 4 years at St. Lawrence University. I am lucky that my 4th child chose to go there, so I kind of get to relive it all through her.

What do you like to do for fun and what is your idea of a perfect day?

A perfect day for me is one spent with family.

What is one of your favorite books? Movies?

My favorite movie of all time is a tie between Breakfast at Tiffany and Love Actually. I love to read epic historical fiction.

What is your favorite type of food and what do you love to cook?

Classic French, New American, Greek, Asian… I’m a good eater! I enjoy cooking challenging recipes, but I’m really a closet mixologist 🙂

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Paris is never a bad idea!

Where is your favorite place to Party with Moms in Greenwich and what’s your drink of choice?

My new favorite restaurant in Greenwich is in Armonk. Restaurant North has a new chef, and I think the food has been fabulous. My favorite drink ever was at Cru on Nantucket. They made a drink with fresh strawberry juice, fresh lime juice, jalepenos and tequila. A little sweet, a little savory, and a little spicy! Perfection.
